Why Will Organic Food Restaurants Grow In Demand?

How likely do you feel it is that organic food will become a favorite type of cuisine(like Chinese and Continental food?)
Answer by DorisWe all know that McDonald's is a fast food restaurant. What about this scenerio?
You walk into a restaurant, are greeted by a hostess and then seated in a decorated dining room. Would it ever occur to you that this was a fast food restaurant? Probably not.
But, today we still do not know that many sit down restaurants are also fast food.
That is, their food is not prepared on site. Each dish is prepared in a factory, frozen and then shipped to the restaurant where it is heated and served. Yet, the price to the customer does not reflect this, the literature does not tell the customer this.
Corporate justifications for this move would include maintaining consistency, keeping costs down, being able to offer more menu options and difficulty keeping and recruiting chefs on staff.
So now instead of skilled cooks or chefs they only need someone that can run a microwave. All creativity is removed from the job.
Consistency is met. Only thing is, too often it is just plain
consistently bad. If you don't like the lasagna at one restaurant, you won't like it at any in the chain.
Having choices is great. But we really don't need 50 menu options when we eat out. You would normally have some idea of what you are in the mood to eat and even pick the restaurant based on this desire. So having a lot of menu choices is really not necessary.
As for keeping costs down. With costs of transport of frozen goods, purchasing and maintainting the large pieces of equipment in the plant, it is doubtful that there are any real savings.
So, yes as the public become aware of this deception, I believe that they will seek out those establishments that truely do prepare their foods with quality ingredients on site from scratch. Organic food restaurants will become known as the slow food choice over the alternative, fast food restaurant.
