Organic Turkey Gravy
You can make an organic turkey gravy easily. What You'll Need
2 tablespoons organic flour 1 organic bouillon cube 2 teaspoons Organic Soy Sauce 1-2 tablespoons chicken drippings. Or alternatively, turkey bones or turkey skin. 2 cups water Parsley Herbamare Pepper
What You Do
With this gravy you are the boss. You can make as much as you like. Just adjust the fluids. You also control the fat. There is no need to use all the fat drippings from your turkey.
Step 1 Start with a flavor base. If you have your turkey drippings, add to a sauce pan with 2 cups water and skip to Step 3. Not to worry, you can make your own flavor base. Place the turkey bones or turkey skin in a sauce pan. Add the two cups water and bouillon cube. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Step 2 Take out the bones and skin and discard. Step 3 Place the flour in a bowl. Add 1 cup water and whisk smooth. Step 4 Slowly pour the flour/water mixture into the simmering broth while whisking. The gravy will thicken. Step 5 Season the gravy with Herbamare, pepper and parsley. Add the soy sauce for color. You can make as much gravy as you need with this recipe. Just start with more water. Use the flour/water mixture to thicken to your liking. If it isn't thick enough, simply sprinkle a little flour in while whisking.
