Organic food is produced without synthetic pesticides, hormones or antibiotics. Three simple yet powerful organic food facts that can rejuvenate your ability to get up in the morning.

Imagine having the energy to get up in the morning, work all day, exercise and tend to the family.

Let me explain...

Your body operates on fuel. And that fuel is obtained from the food you eat. Clean fuel produces clean performance--just like with your car. Dirty fuel causes a breakdown of the parts. Just as would happen if you used dirty fuel in your car, it would choke up and breakdown.

Your car can have the carburator taken apart and cleaned. You, on the other hand, can't be taken apart to be cleaned out.

So how do pesticides, hormones and antibiotics from conventional grown food mess up your body?

Pesticides are a toxin, a poison. Their use and purpose is to kill plants or bugs. To you, they are also a poison--no ifs, buts or maybes.

Pesticides have ingredients that act as xenostrogens. These are chemical components that resemble estrogen significantly enough to fool the body into trying to use them. The result is you get hormonal imbalances.

In the animal kingdom these xenoestrogens are responsible for confused sex traits in some birds and fish. Creatures having characteristics of both sexes.

The next is hormones that are avoided with organic food. Hormones have been used in conventional farming as a means to "beef" up the animals.

When an animal ingests the hormones their feed, the hormones circulate the entire body. Through the process of digestion and the circulatory system, these hormones then deposit in the animal's tissues and milk.

And they remain there even after slaughter and you cooking the meat or the pasteurizing of the milk.

This is an external source of synthetic hormones when you ingest it. It causes your own hormones to be messed up. Have you ever wondered why our children are reaching puberty earlier than we did or our parents did? Even depression can be caused by hormone imbalances.

Then there are antibiotics. These are prescription medications used to treat a bacterial illness. When used properly, the animals would not enter the food chain until the drug has left the animals system.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case with factory farms. Animals can be medicated through most of their lives to prevent illness. These drugs don't vacate the body before slaughter so when you eat the meat, your are getting medicated too.

Now, this may sound like it is not that bad. Maybe it could help you to fight infections? Well, no, it won't. Your doctor is whom should be prescribing antibiotics. Improper use of antibiotics can make you sick.

With organic food production, the emphasis is on sustainability. That is, being able to use the methods for generations without destroying the environment or ourselves in the process. Healthy soil produces healthy plants that are high in nutrient content. This is healthy eating at it's finest.

Use these organic food facts when shopping. If you can't buy organic in your area, ask questions. Go to your local farmer's market. Find a producer that uses no chemicals or antibiotics. They exist. This is the traditional farming method of food production. If you like the content of this site, we thank you for making your selection below and supporting us.
