Section targeting
I created this oatmeal chocolate chip cookies recipe because oatmeal chocolate chip is my all time favorite cookie. But, buying them organic was just too expensive. Through trial and eating, I perfected the recipe. Now when ever I crave them, I have a handy recipe. And by using brown rice flour, you can make them
gluten free.
So, let's get started... Cream together 1/2 cup of butter; 1/4 cup organic safflower oil and 3/4 cup sour cream. Then add and cream together: 1/2 cup organic brown sugar 1/4 cup organic sugar 1 tablespoon maple syrup 3/4 tablespoon organic molasses
In a separate bowl, combine and beat until smooth: 1
egg
1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon
milk
Add the egg mixture to the sugar mixture and mix well. Then sift together and add to the above: 1 1/2 cups sifted organic flour 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
When smooth add: 3 cups organic rolled oats Then add: 2/3 cup organic chocolate chips Use two teaspoons to drop the batter onto a greased (use safflower oil) baking sheet. Bake at 350 degree oven for 11 to 13 minutes depending on varying oven heat. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
