Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

Making a creamy macaroni and cheese that the whole family loves is possible with this recipe.

What You'll Need

2 cups cooked and drained macaroni
1 1/2 cups grated organic cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons organic butter
3 tablespoons organic flour
2 cups organic milk
Herbemar
dash of pepper (very little)
1.5 quart casserole dish

What To Do
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2
Cook, drain and rinse the macaroni, if not already done.

Step 3
Melt the butter in a medium sized sauce pan at medium heat.

Step 4
Using a whisk, stir in the flour. Blend until smooth.

Step 5
Slowly stir in the milk while whisking.

Step 6
Continue stirring while sauce thickens. No need to bring to a boil. It will continue to thicken in the oven.

Step 7
Slowly blend in the grated cheese until it is well blended. Remove from heat.

Step 8
Add Herbamare and pepper to taste.

Step 9
Place noodles in a 1.5 quart casserole dish and pour cheese sauce over noodles.

Step 10
Place in oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serves four.
