Kids Eating Tips

Here are 8 kids eating tips to help you get your kids to eat.

1. Meal times are pleasant. Talk about what interests them.

2. Serve at least two vegetables at meals. That way they have a choice.

3. Don't force them to eat what they don't like. It doesn't make for a pleasant experience.

4. Do get them to try new foods. This is done not with force, but by getting them to talk to you and you to them. They often, almost by reflex say, 'I don't like it' without trying new things.

5. Feed them when they are hungry. Small tummies don't hold as much. Their portions should be appropriate for their size.

6. Have fresh fruits and vegetables available. My kids preferred their vegies raw. So, I just put a vegie tray out for them. For the most benefit, serve organic foods.

7. Educate them about different foods and their benefits. They will get it.

8. Given the option, kids will choose healthy foods over the long term. Make these available and limit the 'junk' food in the home.

Kids that get the nutrients they need are healthier and you will notice that they tend to be happier too. Do you have a great organic food recipe to share with other mothers. Click here to add your recipe to this website and delight our visitor's taste buds.
