Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe

This chicken noodle soup recipe was a favorite of my family as they were growing up.

What You'll Need

3 organic chicken legs or the bones of one chicken with meat still remaining
1/2 chopped organic onion
1 organic chicken bouillon cube
cooked soup noodles (I like to use the small egg noodles)
5 cups water
1 teaspoon Parsley
Herbamare
Pepper

What To Do

Step 1
Cook and rinse your soup noodles if not yet done.
Place the chicken legs or bones in a large pot with water, and boullion cube.

Step 2
Bring the water to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes if using cooked bones. Thirty minutes if using raw chicken legs.

Step 3
Remove the chicken. Skim off the excess fat from the surface of the broth. Here is were you control the fat content of your soup.

Step 4
Add the herbs and season to your taste.Simmer 5 minutes.

Step 5
Remove the chicken from the bones, then cut into bite size pieces.

Step 6
Add the chicken and the noodles to the broth. Allow the soup to heat through out before serving.

Serves 4 to 6.
