Antibiotic Allergy Prevention Allergy Diet Of Organic Food Reduces Causes
Antibiotic allergy prevention starts with causes of allergies. Then healthy eating of organic foods should be included in the allergy diet whenever possible to limit exposure to allergens.
An antibiotic allergy can get it's start from the food you eat. Let me explain...
Antibiotics are a medicine to kill bacteria. They are used to treat illness in humans and animals. These medicines should not be in the food you eat.
Why not, you say? Wouldn't I be healthier with a little medicine?
No. This is a medicine that was not prescribed for you. It was prescribed by a vet for an animal. The medicine has gotten into the tissues of the animal or the milk and then you consumed it.
With this, you are getting exposure to medicines that you and your doctor do not control, putting you at risk for an antibiotic allergy.
This is how a person can have a allergic reaction from penicillin the very first time he received it.
To have an allergic reaction, one must have exposure first. Then following the exposure, the body creates a defense against the possible enemy.
So the doctor checks the person's records and finds he has never received penicillins.
Or has he?
One could have unwittingly received them in the milk or tissues of animals. The milk and tissues of medicated animals under ideal circumstances would never reach your table. The milk should be destroyed until there are no more antibiotics present. This is a standard dependent on the testing and over all concern of public safety of those involved.
Even so...
An uncontrolled exposure to penicillins can contribute to the resistant strains of bacteria. An ever increasing problem in North America. This occurs even with regulations and precautions in food production. These animal products should not enter the food supply. But, like the saying goes, "stuff happens."
What I want to do is help you to protect yourself from this unexpected exposure; even
vegetables can cause an antibiotic reaction.
So what can you do?
1. Buy certified organic whenever you can and include organic foods in your allergy diet. Organic farming practices do not allow for the routine use of preventive medications. Instead, animals are kept healthy by healthy quarters and consuming organic food themselves.
2. Go to your local Farmer's Market and talk to the producer himself. Find out if this is in the meat.
3. Go to your local butcher shop and talk to him about where he gets the meat.
By putting the word out of what you are willing to purchase, you will have more control. As a consumer, there is no more important person to the producer. When you take a sensible approach to organics you will naturally make changes towards healthy eating.
